As requested by you readers out there, (non existent ones) right after my match against SMU, in which Mrs. Yay supported me at, we went to this place called Mouth Restaurant for a tim sum lunch. Though kindda pricey, i
t was all good and, especially our final dish, the Celestial Soon Hock from the Heavenly Gates.
anyway here's the address:
Mouth Restaurant
22 Cross Street

Mrs. Yay ready to gobble down lunch! |
XO Har Gao. Honestly, didn't really have any difference with their regular Har Gao coz the regular ones are already so AAAAAAWESOOOOOOME! |
A wrong order that turned out pretty good! Fried Chee Cheong Fun (with X.O. sauce!) yumms :P |
Phoenix Claws 凤爪 |
小笼包 that was really soupy on the inside. The skin was really thin too! |
火山包 similar to that of Tim Ho Wan's famous baked char siew bao! But the crust is nicer! |
Squid Ink Char Siew Bao. The bun portion tasted rather sweet. Odd... |
Check out this tumour-sized Siew Mai. You can actually get to chomp on the entire prawn itself! |
Some Prawn plus Banana spring roll thingy with loads of Sesame seed |
The one. The only.... Liu Sha Bao...... except there ain't no bun! its like some Castard thingy and its really yummy.
Mrs Yay feels that their Liu Sha Bao is BETTER than the Paradise Group restaurants (Canton Paradise, Kungfu Paradise, Taste Paradise, Paradise Dynasty) & better than Swee Choon, & its a notch above the oh-so-famous Victor's Kitchen's version. (BTW Victor's Kitchen's Liu Sha Bao has deproved so much... disappointed much.)
I didn't want to waste any of the gooooey goodness so i drank it up like a cuppa tea. It was really legen.... wait for it..... |
Our final dish, tbe $60, 1kg Celestial Fishy, the FRIED SOON HOCK FISH!!!! it was fried so good, you could eat the bones and all. |
Happy tummy, Happy family! |
... DARY. LEGENDARY.
Peace out.
-Mr. Yay.
